I used to love the stuff. We got it from Kennedy Space Center when I was a kid.

And here's an ice cream sandwich I'm tasting, as I have ordered this stuff for our kids' Christmas Stockings...

        So what was Jake's assessment?

And remember no chocolate for doggies.

I'm always still in trouble again

Interesting you should ask - he LOVES ice cream, but turns his nose up at this, probably because, in it's freeze-dried state, it doesn't really have a smell.

And dogs don't have much in the way of taste buds so...

Still, when even a dog won't touch something...

I mean, it's kind of like a barometer. Not always right but not something to readily ignore. Kind of like when your dog doesn't like someone. Not always but they are usually a good judge.

Yeah, a couple months ago, my wife "unfroze" some hamburger, and when it thawed, she was suspicious as to whether it was good or not.
I pinched off a piece and let Jake give it a smell, and he turned and walked away.

Mrs. CP and I turned to each other and said, "let's pitch it".

We sold freeze dried roses at the craft store I used to work at. Does that count?

                I never tasted them, either.

Me neither. Might have to try one. Rose petals and buds are actually edible

I've eaten fresh rose petals. But I don't think the freeze dried ones would be particularly tasty. Just dry and flaky. Whether the "rose" flavour is still there, I don't know.

i had the freeze dried ice cream. Interesting feel as it melts in your mouth. I can take it or leave it.
