Are all of you using the PC version, then? I'd have to use the phone app. I would do the lessons on my lunch break at work, and I can't use a work computer for personal stuff like that even if I was allowed to eat at my work station.

You can put an adblocker on your mobile phone's browser. You get less restrictions by doing it through their webpage than through the phone app too.

I use the PC version exclusively. If I tried to use the mobile phone version, the phone would make 5 minutes (maybe) before it wound up in the nearest rubbish bin.

I use the PC version because I like being able to actually type my answers (and I hate typing on phone). The ads are barely noticeable.

I have an adblocker on my browser already, but it doesn't always work. There are also some websites that do not work on my phone's browser, but I guess I'll have to try it and see. If I can't get it to work on my phone, I'll just get books and recordings and do it the old fashioned way.

So, I tried the browser version on my phone. In Chrome it does seem to be working just fine. Apparently there is a version of the website that is optimized for phone browsers.

We'll see how far I get. Thanks everyone.

Just a short excerpt - Really wish we had songs like this readily available in English.

I'm like 99% sure I've heard her voice before. Also, I agree with you. It's hard to find music I like over here, but Japanese video games alone tend to have a ton I like. Then when you add anime the list gets even bigger.

A rookie police detective and a vaguely Sherlock Holmesish university professor. So far ガリレオ is proving a worthwhile watch.

Nice find on the translation exercises in Ideas 2:

Cerebrum123 A few vignettes from Galileo showing interesting responses by the professor and by the detective lady. Note what she complains about in the cafe.

                          And an unexpected find:
                          彼は水をワインに変えた

Updated site contents have muddled things a bit - I did have section 2 complete, but now it has been rearranged, and I have to revisit it. Still, the updates are an improvement on an already good programme.

Weird, it must be way down the list that they rearranged things because most of it looks the same to me. I do like the new option for completing a lesson to "legendary" and the change it makes to the lesson icon is nice for me since I like the color it changes to.

Yes - the addition of "legendary" was appreciated (and I agree about the colours). Upside to yesterday's changes - I have golds in a segment where I didn't have them before.

                                私は二百日日本語を勉強しました。

I hope I got that right. I had to use a little help from Google Translate because I can't figure out how to get the を symbol to work with my keyboard on Windows 10. Oh, and technically I got over two hundred days, but only by one. The translator also suggested I use 200日 for "200 days", but I wanted to use the Japanese words for two hundred instead of the easier option.
