I had a 53 Oldsmobile in which you changed the headlight brightness AND the radio stations with your feet!

I remember dimmer switch buttons on the floor but not radio dials.

Yup.... and this particular Oldsmobile had a huge "sun bonnet" over the windshield, preventing you from seeing traffic lights if you were first in line, so there was a prism on the dashboard where you could see the refracted/reflected traffic light.

If you just tapped the "change station" button next to the dimmer button on the floor, the radio would scan to the next receivable radio station.

Oh, and an "electric eye" that automatically dimmed your brights when an oncoming car's headlights were detected!
