I have to use someone's computer. Long story short, I don't see any firewall program but System Mechanic 10 is present but needs renewal. Near as I can tell, this uses Windows firewall? I can't tell from the program description.

As I recall, windows Vista and above has a security program, that will tell you security problems. On Windows 7 SP1, it's under the control panel/review system status/security tab and it should tell you the security status (IE if windows firewall is running)."The man from the yacht thought he was the first to find England; I thought I was the first to find Europe. I did try to found a heresy of my own; and when I had put the last touches to it, I discovered that it was orthodoxy."

Yeah, this has Win 7. I want to be sure, though that it's sufficient. I understand Windows firewall wasn't considered strong on two way data protection. But I've been out for the loop for a while.Watch your links! http://www.theologyweb.com/campus/fa...corumetiquette

I generally use Windows Firewall on my stuff (running Win8.1)
But if you want a serious one then there is always Comodo.......but it can take a LOT of config.
