Let's post ads from the first computers we ever owned.

My first computer was an Atari 400. Complete with 8K of memory and a cassette deck to load programs with! Got it in 1980.

I later moved on to an Atari 800XL, then an Amiga 1000, Amiga 3000 and then on to building my own PCs.

I had a Coleco Adam after my Atari 400, and my TRS80. (At least, I THINK it was after the TRS80)

The first to state his case seems right until another comes and cross-examines him.

      Yeah I remember the Adam.

We had a TRS80 in school. The boot code had to be keyed in by hand just to get it to load from the floppy drive.

I don't think I had a floppy drive -- I just used a cassette tape recorder (that I already had) to store my BASIC programs.

My first computer was the Compaq SLT-286. It was fabulous. A friend of mine is going to get it working again so I can start updating my thesis when I retire.

I actually did learn how to use an abacus when I was a kid.
