On the one hand, it wasn't an official game so to speak. On the other hand, they are professionals. Sign of the times?

Come to think of it, when that pitcher had his ankle broke by the runner landing hard on it last year, the game went on.

Eh... I think it was a cooperative thing between the two teams.... baseball is played with heart --- kinda hard to continue a game like that, but, maybe I'm just getting soft in my old age.

I think this one looked too much like possible permanent brain damage -- as fast as the ball is thrown, and coming right back in a line drive to the noggin.... I think they were erring on the side of caution.

Yeah, and I think that's a big part of the picture --- how could he go on playing knowing he might have caused blindness / death / who knows?

There is also the fact that this is Spring Training where the outcome of the game doesn't count.
