Looking at the thread I see that she no longer supports the Republicans.

Oh well, personally I'm more cynical than that now. I've lost trust in all political parties now. Makes it difficult to figure out who to vote for. I was considering turning up to vote, taking a look at the ballot paper and just vote for some nobody that I hadn't even heard of before. I'm probably not going to be home on voting day now anyway so I won't need to worry about it.

I just like pushing buttons and if that means stepping on republican and democrat toes, so be it.

American presidents seem to be getting worse every time. Obama is now the new target to top in terms of being the most awful President America has ever had.

Question is... is it because people (as a whole) are slowly getting dumber?

Sounds like a good party to me. Besides, I thought political parties are just an excuse to accept legal bribes (in the forum of 'campaign contributions').

Fair enough the banks were being stupid but then you get the protesters who have a go at Capitalism. I don't think they realise that they participate in Capitalism every time they buy their new ipod.

Most likely. At least the Swiss can claim the reason Hitler didn't try invading them is because he was worried about taking a beating.

With Switzerland playing the neutral card there was no point. No point in using time and resources to invade somewhere that you don't need to.

In saying that Hitler didn't even try for Britain in the end. Too cocky and decided to take on Russia instead.

I'm only being half serious. There's a guy I work with, whose from Arkansas, so I always make sure to mention marrying your cousins is common in Arkansas, when he's in earshot.

Absolutely true. Wrong laws on companies. They should have laws that mean they don't mess it up for all the people.

However lets remember who funds the big governments plans when they are in office. It's because of those banks that western governments borrow money in the first place and get themselves into debt.
