Personally, I'm pro-birth control.

That would work for me, if it worked. But it doesn't, so I support more robust options.

*obviously the notable exception is women forced against their will to engage in sex.

I consider that an extreme case of a more general problem: lack of control. Most kids aren't wired up right for self-control, and less than half of them are growing up with the double-parental control that could replace it. It's better to fix the problem you've got rather than the problem you wish you had, I'm thinking.

The most reliable information on abortion I can find comes from the Guttmacher Institute. All but a tiny fraction of abortions come from unintended pregnancies, and nearly all of them come from unprotected sex.

There are folks who call themselves pro-life who are also anti-birth control. One contradicts the other.

I was a non-theist (read agnostic) when I became anti abortion. Since I ain't now I can't vote.
