  • RadFem Collective - An Interview with Julie Bindel

I can't actually link to the article since there are a few instances of swear words. So I will quote from this article and rely on people finding it themselves if they wish to read it.

Julie Bindel talks about how she would like to see men under control in camps and also how she would like heterosexuality to be destroyed.

Starlight would do well to take notice since he denies that people exist who are anti-heterosexual.

    Will heterosexuality survive women’s liberation?

It won’t, not unless men get their act together, have their power taken from them and behave themselves. I mean, I would actually put them all in some kind of camp where they can all drive around in quad bikes, or bicycles, or white vans. I would give them a choice of vehicles to drive around with, give them no porn, they wouldn’t be able to fight – we would have wardens, of course! Women who want to see their sons or male loved ones would be able to go and visit, or take them out like a library book, and then bring them back.

I hope heterosexuality doesn’t survive, actually. I would like to see a truce on heterosexuality. I would like an amnesty on heterosexuality until we have sorted ourselves out.
I'll stop the quote there since the next sentence contains a curse word.

Of course the big question is, who are all those wardens that Julie wants to look after these men in the first place? Is she relying on women to keep men as prisoners?

Don't mind Julie Bindel, she's just in a state of perpetual butt hurt that other feminists have stopped taking her seriously and won't give her a platform to spout her hyper-polemical nonsense.

Sorry Julie, you're in a world of your own.

She does have allies though. Other radical feminists do agree with her, although mainstream feminists don't. A lot of mainstream ones have other problems instead.

By my count it aint many. Read any articles from her lately, about all she has to complain about is that she's not allowed to talk by other leftists. I wouldn't be surprised if this piece of hyper polemics, is just her attempt at reminding the world she exists. The seventies are over, and she misses them, boohoo for her.

She's definitely not a significant threat, or typical of feminism, anymore than Westboro Baptist Church types are indicative of Christianity.

It's not a lot but they still exist to some degree. The problem is they tend to get themselves into positions where they can hold a degree of influence. Sheila Jeffries for example is a lecturer at Sydney University. Julie herself is a writer of the Guardian, ironically where Jessica Valenti also writes.

Well she is a writer for one of the UKs newspapers, I know that doesn't really make her a significant threat but although she is akin to Westboro Baptist Church, a lot of other feminist are akin to the Church of Scientology where they try to silence those the disagree with them.
