    Yeah, until recently he was
    • strongly pro-abortion (saying on Fox News Sunday that he was "totally pro-choice"), co-sponsored a dinner honoring a leader of NARAL, and came out against any ban on partial birth abortions
    • pro-gun control supporting the assault weapons bans and calling for longer waiting times before a firearm could be purchased
    • called for a one-time 14.25% "net worth tax" on the wealthy as a key part of his economic proposals when he ran for president in 1999
    • called for a "path to citizenship" for illegal aliens on Bill O'Reilly's Fox News show.
    • in one of his books he said that the U.S. needed a universal health care modeled on the Canadian system and described himself as "very liberal when it comes to health care" on Larry King's old show on CNN.
    • Politically he has gone from being a Republican to an Independent, to a Democrat and back to being a Republican. During his Democrat phase he contributed heavily to Hillary Clinton (calling her a fantastic Senator) and the Clinton Foundation. He also donated money to Rahm Emanuel and Harry Reid and, in the 2004 and 2006 elections he and his son donated $117,700 to Democrats and $41,500 to Republicans.

He certainly does have great executive experience - and I'm not sure on our side who would have that kind of charisma.

I think his atrocious performance as governor will ultimately prevent him getting the nomination. Wisconsin has done so badly under his governorship that he's widely disliked even in his own state. Yes, the rich billionaires love him, because he's willing to enact their preferred laws and cut their taxes and funnel money to their businesses, but ultimately I don't think that will be enough for him.

Are you nuts? He he won election twice as Governor by popular vote, and survived a recall by popular vote. So obviously he is liked more than disliked. Of course socialists don't like him and they shouldn't.

What is it that you like about Walker seer. Have you looked into his performance as Governor? He is right up there with Christie in both performance and lying about it:

Oh please. You would probably vote for Hillary who has done nothing of note except ride her husband's coat tails and lies at almost every turn.

Actually seer, I am no big fan of Hillary, but you are right that I would without hesitation vote for her over any republican for the simple reason that she knows where her bread is buttered. She's a Democrat. I also believe that idealogically, judging from her past performance, she honestly leans progressive. After all, long before Obama got it done, Hillary tried against all odds to pass health care reform. But Hillary is also strategist and one never knows for sure how hard she will fight for the progressive issues she campaigns on. If she thinks its in the cards she will go for it, but if not, not so much. Bernie Sanders is my guy though. Everyone knows exactly where he stands, and we know that, win or lose, he will go all out for it. But again, yes, if Hillary were the Nominee, then I, just like every other progressive i suspect, would have no hesitation in voting for her over the republican for the reason stated in my first sentence above.

Btw, that doesn't answer my question. Scott Walker has a terrible record as Govenor, so what is it that you like about him as a Presidential contender over and above the other contenders in the republican race?

                        1. Yes Sanders is honest. if I was a progressive I would vote for him.

                        2. And no Walker does not have a terrible record. He broke the public sector unions (a good thing) he lowered property taxes (gave rebates), passed voter ID laws, and made Wisconsin a right to work state, lowered business taxes, froze education spending, etc.... All things close to my heart. And if he was so bad why was he elected twice by popular vote and survive a recall, in fairly liberal Wisconsin?

I guess if you love to see rich fat cats getting richer and hard working full time employees unable to negotiate pay rates high enough to feed their children, then yeah, that's a good thing.

It baffles me you think of yourself as a Christian seer. Jesus was pretty clear about wealth and poverty.

he lowered property taxes (gave rebates)
Less taxes for the wealthy? More inequality? Yay! The rich get richer and the poor get poorer. Again, totally biblical.

                          passed voter ID laws
Gotta stop those poor people voting, because they might vote democrat. I don't quite understand how ever you seer can claim that voter suppression is a good thing. Do you not believe in democracy?

                          lowered business taxes
The rich get richer. Yay again.

What part of morally wrong do you not get? Oh that's right you don't have the first clue when it comes to morality.

froze education spending, etc.... All things close to my heart.
You support a less educated population? Are you for real?

And if he was so bad why was he elected twice by popular vote and survive a recall, in fairly liberal Wisconsin?
It seems unlikely he will be elected there again. This article by a conservative notes his approval rating there has dropped to 41%, and that he has been upsetting both Republicans and Democrats alike there with his terrible budget proposals, with the Republican legislators recently vetoing his budget proposals to:
                          - funnel $250 million in taxpayer money to his friends in big business
                          - take out a loan of $1.3 billion to fund expenditure, after previously cutting taxes on the wealthy to the tune of $2 billion
"I hate him passionately", he's "a demonic force" - Tucker Carlson, in private, on Donald Trump

No, actually public sector workers should not be unionized in the first place - even FDR knew. My state is drowning in debt because of salaries, benefits and pensions for public sector workers, and my city is no different. And we had the two largest tax increases in the history of my state the past few years. Yes, some fell on the wealthy but the vast majority fell on the middle class. There are just not enough rich people to solve this problem. Let me give you two examples; I have two friends, one a city firefighter and one a state cop. Both retired recently, and both are in their early 50s. The firefighter will get a pension of $62,0000 a year for the rest of his life with full medical and the cop will get $71,000 a year for the rest of his life with full medical. And in both cases if they die their wives get the benefits until they die. This is unsustainable. Yes there are two classes, the public sector workers and the rest of us trying to make ends meet under confiscatory tax rates.
