Or, if you want to do our own research, you can try this: for five minutes, choose to be homosexual. After all, according to most of the Christians here, _being_ gay isn't a sin provided you don't act on it.

This is all "tip of the iceberg" stuff, IC. The medical community has not seen homosexuality as a choice since Kraft-Ebbing in 1866.
The psychiatric and psychologic communities have not, but the biological fields have never positively declared it a biological trait.

Are you now sexually attracted to those of the same sex? Whether or not you choose to act upon it.

They've never positively identified a _specific_ biological trait, but that's far from "they've never positively declared." Or do you want me to also dig up the biological research? It's readily available.

I am aware of much of the biological research and the flaws associated with them.

I was in a homosexual relationship for almost 2 years. That's something very few people know about me. I am now married to a wonderful woman with 3 children and no inkling of sexual interest in men. But, let me guess... no true Scotsman...

You're the one who made the claim, Bill.

                          If you're happy, terrific!

"No true Scotsman" is never a good argument. It's even less of a good argument in this case, as sexual orientation is not binary. Like many things dealing with human psychology, t's a continuum.

It's not about no true Scotsman, but that if some heterosexual people cannot change their sexuality, perhaps some homosexual people can't?

You said "do you want me to also dig up the biological research"before I made any claim.

I would love for you to.

I am walking proof that it CAN be chosen for and against. It may not mean anything to you, being anecdotal, but since you asked, I responded.

And it can be a choice.
