I think it's safe to say that MOST of us (I may be wrong) when we rant about "liberals" in these threads have in mind the "loony left" - the fringe that seems to have taken the Democrat party (for instance) hostage.

I would have thought that by this point in time Conservatives in general ought to have been so utterly embarrassed by the seemingly endless plague of child-abuse scandals among Christian conservatives - within the Republican party, within the Catholic church, or among conservative celebrity figures - that they wouldn't even dare open their mouths on the subject. Accusing liberals of anything at all on this general topic seems to be a prime example of pointing to a speck in your brother's eye while ignoring the giant giant log in your own. Within the last month alone we've had Dennis Hastert and Josh Duggar to add to the growing list. Sometimes it seems like the majority of vocal "family values" advocates are shouting so loud because they've got so much to hide.

I recall reading that among those working in the Whitehouse for George W Bush, about 70 of them were gay. Likewise this cute little ad has been doing the rounds recently, where a gay republican soldier points out the paradox of being able to fight overseas for his country and for freedom, yet at home he's denied the freedom to marry his partner.


With regard to the OP, family court cases are often difficult where there's psychological issues in play, when there's been separation, and where it's a he-said she-said argument. Also, trusting that things written in the Daily Mail are actually true, is probably not a great idea on the whole.

It's just pure hypocrisy to talk about 'child abuse' while he says it should be legal to murder some of them. I would think kill children, would be rather abusive, but I guess we shouldn't expect consistency being something to follow, when you talk about how it should be legal to murder babies.
