    Thanks. That fits the universal reaction here; even state senators usually on his side are ticked about it, one of them comparing it to socialism. And not a few pundits have noted that Scott would never have tolerated such a proposal when he was head of HCA.

      I looked at your OP (but not the blog post) again. It reads to me like complaint against a certain politician (or group of politicians). My question is more specific. No matter how much I respect a politician or agree with their positions, I would not want to see them in a pulpit during worship service. Period. That is the time for the representative of God.

        Politicians in the US have been doing that since Colonial days. Seriously, I doubt there were any of the Founding Fathers who never spoke in a church, Washington included.

          Considering how many politicians claim God wants them to run for office, it looks like a blurred line is intentional.
