  • Destruction Of Special Forces?

We have the best Special Forces in the world, and it is obvious that women can not pass muster. And of course the liberals will want to lower the standards - liberals live for destroying standards. Women in the Special Forces add nothing, are unnecessary, and can only harm these units.

WASHINGTON Surveys find that men in U.S. special operations forces do not believe women can meet the physical and mental demands of their commando jobs, and they fear the Pentagon will lower standards to integrate women into their elite units, according to interviews and documents.

Studies that surveyed personnel found "major misconceptions" within special operations about whether women should be brought into the male-only jobs. They also revealed concerns that department leaders would "capitulate to political pressure, allowing erosion of training standards," according to one document.

Some of those concerns were not limited to men, researchers found, but were found among women in special operations jobs.

What do you think, in general, about women in combat units?

No much, but if they did not lower the standards that would be helpful, but they will, that is why they are speaking of "gender diversity metrics." The fact is women are unnecessary in such units. And throwing women into such close quarters with men only causes problems - as we have see in the Submarine service of late.

I actually know of at least one woman who was unhappy about the lower standards because she originally was training to meet the men's standards.

60 Minutes did a recent piece on how the Marine Corps is sending women through the Infantry Officer Course. If I recall the numbers correctly, they've sent 40 through and only 1 has passed. They interviewed one of the female Marine officers on camera. She said she didn't think women were suited to the physical demands because the weight of the gear they are required to carry (something like 130-160 lbs.) was especially troublesome for their hips.
"If you believe, take the first step, it leads to Jesus Christ. If you don't believe, take the first step all the same, for you are bidden to take it. No one wants to know about your faith or unbelief, your orders are to perform the act of obedience on the spot. Then you will find yourself in the situation where faith becomes possible and where faith exists in the true sense of the word." - Dietrich Bonhoeffer, The Cost of Discipleship
