    Obama is pitching another hissy.

White House Antagonism Toward Netanyahu Grows

WASHINGTON — The White House is stepping up its antagonism toward Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu despite his victory in this week’s elections, signaling that it is in no rush to repair a rift between the United States and Israel.

In a congratulatory call to Mr. Netanyahu on Thursday that Mr. Obama waited two days to place, the president took the prime minister to task for his pre-election declaration that no Palestinian state would be established on his watch. Although Mr. Netanyahu has since tried to backpedal on those comments, Mr. Obama said that they had nonetheless forced his administration to reassess certain aspects of its policy toward Israel, according to a White House official who offered details of the call only on the condition of anonymity.

For the second consecutive day on Friday, the White House publicly questioned Mr. Netanyahu’s sincerity about the Israeli-Palestinian peace process, suggesting that Mr. Obama did not trust him to support Palestinian statehood, a central element of United States policy in the Middle East.

My favorite part is where Mister "you can keep your doctor - period!" doesn't "trust" Netanyahu!

Good for Obama. Although it's much stating the obvious at this point that Netanyahu has no interest in peace and wants only more war.

I see the Republican traitors are continuing their all-out attempts to undermine their president's negotiations and pull the US into yet another war in the middle east.

Their traitorous letter to Iran's leadership, saying that the United States, being a democracy, can't be trusted to keep its word in international negotiations and therefore Iran shouldn't make any form of peace treaty with the US, doesn't seem to have worked. So now Boehner is going to go visit his glorious leader Netanyahu during the period that the negotiations with Iran are expected to be finalized.

Apparently we can't have peace. There can only be war. More war.

Gee I bet that's fiscally conservative...

Good for the political donations to the Republican party from the Israel lobby and the defense contractors though.

So, tell me.... if the enemies of Israel want ALL JEWS DEAD, and you seem to think this can be negotiated ---- what percent of Jews should be allowed to be killed?

0%. Obama and many other world leaders are negotiating with Iran to make sure that Iran doesn't get any nuclear weapons. However we already know from spy agencies that Iran doesn't want nuclear weapons and isn't trying to get them. So everyone is expecting the negotiations to be 100% successful. But the right-wingers in Israel and the US are madly trying to sabotage the deal because they benefit politically from fear and war.

Cool -- so would you claim that there are NO enemies of Israel who are STILL demanding the total destruction of Israel? Do you think Obama is actually going to be able to convince the enemies of Israel to disavow that hateful attitude?

Do you HONESTLY believe that ANY of the leaders of Iran RESPECT or TRUST Obama?

It's been politically convenient for some Iranian politicians to say things like this. I don't see any reason to believe they were seriously pursuing such policies, it was just political posturing.

He's not required to make Iran like Israel. All that's being asked is to make sure they don't get nukes.

Yes. By and large, Obama has a very positive reputation outside the US.

I wasn't referring to Iranian politicians. Did you kinda sorta MISS that part where I said "NO enemies of Israel...."?

What's with your fixation on Iran? You think that Iran is the ONLY enemy of Israel?

Yes. By and large, Obama has a very positive reputation outside the US.
That's NOT what I asked. I know that there are a lot of people who admire Obama outside the US - that doesn't mean they RESPECT him - and I was SPECIFICALLY referring to, in THIS case, the LEADERS of Iran, not people in general.

The Iranians are playing Obama for the fool that he is with regards to foreign policy.

And Iran doesn't have ANYTHING to do with state sponsored terrorism that targets Israel, eh?

During the wave of pro-democracy demonstrations in Syria, Iran provided weapons and training to assist the Asad regime in its brutal crackdown that has resulted in the death of more than 5,000 civilians. Iran also continued to provide weapons, training, and funding to Hamas and other Palestinian terrorist groups, including the Palestine Islamic Jihad and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine-General Command. Since the end of the 2006 Israeli-Hizballah conflict, Iran has assisted in rearming Hizballah, in direct violation of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701. Iran has provided hundreds of millions of dollars in support of Hizballah in Lebanon and has trained thousands of Hizballah fighters at camps in Iran.

The context of this discussion is Iran and nuclear power, NOT the many enemies of Israel who want "ALL JEWS DEAD". And the spectacle of the President of the United States being deliberately undermined by his own Congress and the partisan antics of the Jewish warrior leader has been shameful.

Would this be the same President who has been repeatedly criticised by many for ignoring Congress and the constitution when it suited him to?

The Iran/nuclear power issue is what’s underlying the tension between Netanyahu and Obama added to which is the former’s overt flouting of US policy regarding the two state solution for the Palestinians. Although in the face of considerable criticism, he’s had to backtrack on the latter.

Would this be the same Congress that has done everything in its power to block the freely elected president from governing, including inviting a foreign leader to address it on an issue that directly undermined the administration’s policies in Iran? Not to mention the renegade Republican senators who penned a letter to Iran in an attempt to directly sabotage Obama efforts. Not to mention the scores of attempts to block, or successfully block, bills since Obama became President.
