Could that be more of a regional thing? And it sounds like you're saying that he wouldn't be bullied for that specific haircut but getting any haircut.

It isn't regional at all, I've lived in the east,south, and Midwest and those kids hit hard.
And yeah this applies to most haircuts besides maybe a fade, but a haircut like this kid? He might as well wear headgear to protect himself.
