“If [the customer's] life was not in danger, if no one had a gun up to him, if no one pointed a gun at him – what gives him the right to think that it’s okay to just shoot someone?” a relative, who wished to remain anonymous, told FOX10. “You should have just left the store and went wherever you had to go in your car or whatever.”
This is a good reminder that most of these "hands up, don't shoot", "I can't breathe" jackasses are not acting in good faith and there is no common ground on which any agreement can be had with them. You will either let them murder you whenever they feel like it or they will make your life a living hell.

It's the same as home burglars suing homeowners for injuries sustained while robbing the home.

Those people used to be mocked. The new trend is to turn them into martyrs as long as they're black.

Yeah...What right did that guy have in poking his nose into someone else's business??? Lord save us from the idiot, victim complex that seems to be running rampant in society. It seems some people will do anything to try to shift the focus away from the fact a CRIME was being committed! In my book, the minute he pointed that gun at someone, was the moment he gave up any rights to his own safety.

BTW, it appears from the article the perp survived being shot 5 times...so he didn't even die!

Not really, they're saying he shouldn't have interfered. Turning His Life Around only pointed the gun at the customer when the customer got involved.

Eh, you're right, I misread it - but my version is funnier.

Don't want the possibility of getting shot; don't point guns at people's heads. Seems to be simple enough.

The linked article quotes the criminal's parents. Heck, even Jeffrey Dahmer's mother said he was a really good boy, just a little confused. The parents are always going to try to find some way, ANY way, that their criminal son could have survived.

I'm not surprised, of course, that quoting grieving parents is being generalized to label as jackasses anyone who has a problem with NON criminal NON armed citizens being shot. But hopefully, some people will realize this is not tenable.

So for the record, as one of those alleged jackasses, I'm saying this guy got exactly what he asked for, and the Good Samaritan deserves a medal.

Michael Brown deserved to be shot too but plenty of people who weren't his relatives looted, beat people and murdered in his name.

And your reason for including Eric Garner in your OP? Do you think he was trying to murder someone?

I didn't include Eric Garner, I included his supporters (who are generally the same as Michael Brown's). Eric Garner wasn't trying to murder someone. And nobody was trying to kill him, his death was an accident, unlike Brown's, which was both intentional and deserved. I'm not the one who dragged Eric Garner's death into a frivolous campaign, so if you have a problem with it you might want to take it up with his supporters.
