No, I mean Waffle House. I can make most of what they make myself, but it's just so much better having them bring it to me as I sit in the middle of the night.

Because it's based on my thread, where I was asking people to share good news stories we could all enjoy. DE can't do that because giving joy to others is against his religion. Instead he had to start his own thread where his bitter cynicism can bring joy to himself and to heck with others.

          You sound upset.

Wow! That Obama must be doing a good job. Merry Christmas to all and him too (even though he's a Muslim.)

I don't care what Darthy says, stories of kindness and goodness are worth celebrating.

After witnessing an inspiring show of compassion, this boy decided it was time to spread the love.

Nate Dreyfus, 9, of Stillwater, Minnesota, recently saw something that made him think twice.

"There was this man," Nate told CBS Minnesota. "He got out of his car, he took off his jacket and gave it to a man on the street."

The sight was enough to spur Nate to action.

"I felt really good inside that they did that, so I wanted to start doing something like they did," he told CBS.

He enlisted the help of his family, and while he put out donation boxes in his neighborhood, his mother reached out to the community, urging people to drop coats off at their house, the outlet reported. Nate's project soon gained attention, attracting local organizations, which helped the 9-year-old promote the initiative, according to St. Paul Area Council of Churches' (SPACC) website.

Donations poured in, and on Dec. 3, Nate and his sister, Anna, showed up at SPACC with a surprise for Project Home, which helps provide shelter to local homeless families.

"Nate came in with bag upon bag, filled my office full of coats," Sara Liegl, the director of Project Home told CBS. He brought "a monetary donation on top of that, so we could purchase the things we need that don’t get donated. It was wonderful."

The 9-year-old had successfully collected 79 coats and $262 for families in need, SPACC reported. And while Nate's tremendous efforts will brighten up many others' holiday season, the boy says that knowing people will use his donations has cheered him up, too.

"It’s just really heartwarming," Nate told CBS.

Yeah.... he is "basing" it the same way that Brazil "based" or "imitated" one of England's sports. True imitation would imply keeping or attempting the same quality.

Your error lies in appealing to a some "universal" sense of good, which independent if it actually even exists, is hardly a something the world is unanimous about (Phank's post of growth in particular actually stirs regret and lamentation for me). "Positive in the world", "something that shows humanity CAN rise to the occasion", these are expressions that express a deluded commitment towards "Common Good" for all humanity, as if it unanimously shares such a notion.

In contrast, Darth Executor uses a far more unequivocal criteria; "post things that make YOU feel good". No asinine appeals towards "Common Good", no silly pre-suppositions of "What is good for the world and mankind", just pure unadulterated subjectivity that needs no questioning or consensus of a single human soul. Compared to yours, the criteria does not lend itself to any subjective or personal understanding of "Good" or "Positive".

And what makes you think that Darth Executor is unable to give joy? Reading some of his critiques actually stirs joy in me. And considering you have don't know him personally, attributing him with unsubstantiated assertions is not a very wise to thing to do. And I must admit, Epo's first post on your original thread made me laugh ever so much. Taking your idea and turning it on it's head to what Epo believes is good, fairly cheeky and hilarious . Sobering mockery can be a delightful thing, yes indeed (And a good critique against the discourse that naively puts stock towards "The Common Good".

But you don't care to what the man says. Your defiant gesture of spreading tales of kindness and goodness is one of your things apparently. All well and good I guess, the "Feel Good Porn" I guess stirs some hearts to warm feelings and gestures, in some it is lovely mental masturbation, whilst in others it is a cause of personal grievance, and others, with an indifferent Ho-hum. But look! Aawwwnnn, he amened your tale of the Huff. What a nice kid.
