"I am not angered that the Moral Majority boys campaign against abortion. I am angry when the same men who say, "Save OUR children" bellow "Build more and bigger bombers." That's right! Blast the children in other nations into eternity, or limbless misery as they lay crippled from "OUR" bombers! This does not jell." - Leonard Ravenhill

I was a strong supporter of legalizing the lottery here in Georgia. Since 1992 I have spent $13 or less on tickets. Just because I support a person's right to be foolish with their money does not mean that I'm going to do so.

Does your government support it as well?
In my opinion, ANY lottery revenue that actually "goes to education" is offset by reductions in OTHER funding that is cut that WAS going to education.
I think the lottery is a way for rich people to get richer, SOME poor people to get temporarily rich, and hundreds of thousands of poor people to be given a false sense of hope, only to be stuck poor, buying lottery tickets with money that should be buying bread, milk, diapers...The first to state his case seems right until another comes and cross-examines him.

My government? In Texas, there was a big campaign to legalize the Texas state lottery -- in my opinion, it was a pack of lies supported by special interests. It was sold on the notion that it would help "education" -- "do it for the children".
