House Democrats re-elect Pelosi as minority leader


WASHINGTON — Democrats re-elected Rep. Nancy Pelosi to another two-year term as House minority leader on Tuesday, two weeks after elections in which the party lost at least a dozen seats in the chamber.

In a closed-door meeting of House Democrats, Pelosi was re-elected by voice vote in a race in which she faced no challenger. A Democrat who was in the meeting relayed the outcome to The Associated Press on grounds of anonymity because the party had not yet officially announced it.

I think what happened is no other democrat is dumb enough to want the job and paint a target on themselves.

I think voters never learn. Republicans were celebrating the election results, but as soon as the election was over I see that it is back to business as usual. All talk and no action Republicrats.

But the Republicrats are not taking anything from the results. They may not yet have the majority, but they could at least try to move away from the Democratic line. I see it as a scam. That is why I am a Libertarian.
