He's not even a competent liar. He lied about hearing the story and then he lied about Gruber. It was a twofer in the same sentence. The story about Gruber broke out a week before he denied he heard about it. Not only does he expect us to believe that but expects us to just ignore the number of videos where Gruber claims he advised Obama. I honestly don't know if it's incompetence or he's just so arrogant that he believes (and probably rightly so) that no one will call him out on it.
