Enter the Church and wash away your sins. For here there is a hospital and not a court of law. Do not be ashamed to enter the Church; be ashamed when you sin, but not when you repent. – St. John Chrysostom

No, I was trying to seek clarification from both you and seer for things that both of you were saying, sometimes in agreement with each other and sometimes I was not sure who the referrent was:

I would suggest you address us individually, as I obviously did NOT say anything about "truly wicked" liberals. I'm a little disappointed you would go there.

Pshaw!!! They said this would never happen and that arguing it would was just a logical fallacy of the slippery slope!

Their services are clearly a business AFAICS. That they happen to be ordained ministers has no bearing on that. It's no more a church than a funeral home is. I agree that this is all about silencing dissent, however.

And that is the fine line, who defines "church." I mean you could make the case that my church is a "public accommodation." We charge for wedding services, we rent the halls out, we rent the grounds out, etc.... The bigger point however is how just how plain mean and intolerant these liberals are. They are completely graceless...

Sorry, I was trying to have a little bit of fun and did not want to offend or disappoint you, but did nonetheless think it might be good to differentiate among you so thanks for bringing this up. So, I will just ask you if you did not in fact agree with seer that our liberal posters are hypocrites and totalitarian and whether your were not in fact tacking on the predicates to these posters that they don't want "equality", but rather revenge and control? That is the way the conversation and pronouns (or lack thereof) seemed to be flowing between the two of you but perhaps a few crucial pronouns were not made explicit. Again apologies for upseting or disappointing you!

And I would also appreciate it if seer might also clarify to whom, if any, of our posters he would like to identify his descriptors.

Legally, if you're registered as a church, you're a church. You may charge for wedding services, etc., but those are very minor parts of what your church does, and they're not done with the intention of making a profit.

well that's the crux of the matter. Are they primarily a business to the public, or are they a ministry? And also if the chapel is a business, are the ministers who perform the ceremonies employees or hired as independent contractors? The city might be able to claim that the chapel is a business and must be made available to anyone who wants to be married there, but I don't think they can compel Christian ministers to perform a wedding ceremony that goes against their religious beliefs.

The first amendment doesn't say that it only protects churches. In fact, it only protects citizens.

Not to mention, a church is not a business or a building. It is a group of people. I don't know of anything that requires you to "register as a church" in order to be a church or get constitutional protection.

That is all I am asking of you. It seemed like you explicitly agreed with seer that our liberal posters are hypocrites and totalitarian, but maybe you did not mean to actually agree with this. Yes? No? Maybe you were thinking of someone else? Further, it seemed like you then explicitly said that these posters don't want "equality", but rather revenge and control. But, again, maybe that is not what you meant to say. Maybe you were thinking of someone else at that point also?

As a start, the top 10 would be very helpful, but feel free to expand upon the list as time permits.
