Judge Orders Hospital to Remove Pregnant Woman From Life Support
FORT WORTH — A Texas judge ruled Friday that a Fort Worth hospital may not keep a brain-dead pregnant woman on life support against her family’s wishes, and ordered doctors to take her off the machines by 5 p.m. on Monday.

Mostly, I'm glad I didn't have to hear that case. While there can be no winners here, I do think this was the least bad solution.

Guess they figured that the baby wouldn't make it...
If it weren't for the Resurrection of Jesus, we'd all be in DEEP TROUBLE!

Yes, the story is very sad. The hospital, still fighting to keep her on life support, admits the fetus isn't viable. I don't understand what they're thinking. As much as I hate to say it, it sounds like they're engaged in a medical experiment worthy of Mengele.

If the mom's dead, and the baby's as good as dead/ can't be saved, why won't they leave the family to mourn in peace?

Texas Woman Is Taken Off Life Support After Order
A Fort Worth hospital that kept a pregnant, brain-dead woman on life support for two months, followed a judge’s order on Sunday and removed her from the machines, ending her family’s legal fight to have her pronounced dead and to challenge a Texas law that prohibits medical officials from cutting off life support to a pregnant woman.

          Requiescat in pace, Marlise.
