  • Muslim-Free Zone?

    Right? Wrong?

The owner of a shooting range in Arkansas said she has declared her business a “Muslim-free zone,” citing public safety concerns following the Oklahoma beheading attack, the Boston Marathon bombing and the 9/11 attacks.

“I will do whatever is necessary to provide a safe environment for my customers, even at the cost of the increased threats and legal problems this decision will likely provoke,” Jan Morgan, the owner the Gun Cave Indoor Firing Range in Hot Springs wrote in a blog post Sunday.

Morgan listed 10 reasons behind her decision to bar Muslim customers, including death threats she said Muslims have made against her, last week’s beheading attack in Oklahoma, the 2009 Fort Hood shooting, the 9/11 attacks, Muslim-Americans who have traveled to Syria to join terrorist groups and honor killings.

“Why would I want to rent or sell a gun and hand ammunition to someone who aligns himself with a religion that commands him to kill me?” Morgan wrote.

Her wording opens her up for a lawsuit based on the first amendment.

The better thing to do would be to keep a few pet pigs in the front, hang pig pictures everywhere, and give out free pork chops and bacon snacks. That would keep away any muslims. Pork is like garlic to vampires to them.

What's this going to do other than convince currently moderate Muslims they are being persecuted and putting a chip on their shoulder?

Moderate Muslims do not exist, and even if they did exist, are not worth discussing for all the nonexistent moderating effect they have on radical Muslims.

Yes, and that is what is wrong with the unconstitutional laws of this country. The founding principle of freedom of association has been completely disregarded.

Seer, there is no freedom or right that is absolute. They all have rules and regulations for when they come into conflict with other freedoms or rights. That doesn't mean they are being disregarded.

It's why the Dallas Cowboys were no longer allowed to "huddle" during games after the Tom Landry era.... they were prohibited from associating with known criminals.
