Newsmax, citing an opinion piece in the Moonie Times .. . isn't exactly what most of would call news. The only thing weird here is the reporting, which seems to assume Obama is wishing he kept troops in Iraq, or weirder, that Obama is thinking that having troops in Iraq would make a difference.
That's Insane McCain they're channeling, not Obama. Here's Obama's position:

American combat troops will not be returning to fight in Iraq because there is no American military solution to the crisis there.
