I'm not big on these kind of trade agreements, but in the over all picture there simply is no viable alternative to the free market model.

You are correct but the problem is that the free market is corrupted by big business. A proper free market requires informed customers. The enormous advertising industry exists to misinform consumers so we have brand loyalty instead of informed choice.

Well I don't know about that. I'm not sure how I was misinformed when I purchased my Ford. A little research on our part goes a long way - not that I trust big business any more than I trust big government. I generally believe in very aggressive anti-trust laws. And I'm not big on "free trade" as practiced today, I tend to more of a protectionist model.
