Climate scientists have ascertained and acknowledged that there has been a "pause" or "hiatus" in the increase of global warming during the past one or two decades. Some have referred to a 15 year "pause" or "hiatus", while other have referred to a 17 year 9 month "pause" or "hiatus". Some have specified yet another period of time during which there has been a "pause" or "hiatus" in global warming increase. Why the different time periods?
