  • Trinity Western Law denied accreditation for discrimination

    http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/britis...-vote-1.267068
The special vote was called over the Christian university’s controversial covenant, which forbids students and staff from engaging in sexual relationships outside of marriage between a man and woman.

Victoria lawyer Michael Mulligan, who triggered the vote, believes that covenant is discriminatory.

“We are assessing an institution that wishes to discriminate based on sexual orientation," said Mulligan before the vote.

"In my judgment, that is wrong and offensive, and our law society ought not to countenance that or indeed approve the school as they are asking for."
Many argue the community convent that student must sign, to attended TWU, is discriminatory against Gays.
Yet homosexual are not banned from enrolling in Trinity. The covenant forbids sexual relations outside of marriage between a man and a women. This effects common law couples, dating couples, singles, and promiscuous people. They are not banning you for holding different beliefs, being gay or changing your mind about Christianity. The convent demand that all students, straight or gay, atheist or christian, must abide by it.

Also Law students from the States that attended schools with a similar covenant will be able to practice law in BC. How is it not discrimination to allow some people who hold similar beliefs from practicing law while not allowing others based on those beliefs?

    Trinity's covenant.

Like any university, TWU has a code of conduct that students must abide by while they attend. Students sign the agreement voluntarily. If students don't like it they can go to another school.

TWU is teaching the approved government curriculum for law.
There was a similar case in 2001 where the BC teacher union tried to argue that graduates of TWU would discriminate against non-christian and homosexual students and staff. The Supreme court ruled in favor of TWU and there has not been a single case of discrimination by TWU graduates.

Behead those who insult Trinity Western Law School!
"As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths." Isaiah 3:12

There is no such thing as innocence, only degrees of guilt.

You'd half to behead at least half the comment section in the article, it looks like. By the way, here's a link that works.

Realistically, I kid. These are liberals. After you behead one or two of the worst of them publicly, the rest will shut up pretty quickly:
