According to Sean he's a Sanders supporter. Maybe you two should get your stories straight.

Again, even if you don't respect her at least she's a journalist. That's a de facto better debate moderator than a socialist / libertarian comedian.

And her show won an Emmy. Come on.

Rogan is not affiliated with any political party, but has been described as mostly having libertarian views.[82] He has described himself as being "pretty liberal" and supports gay marriage, gay rights, women's rights, recreational drug use, universal healthcare, and universal basic income, while also supporting the Second Amendment.[84][85] He has also criticized American foreign policy of military adventurism.[86] He endorsed Ron Paul in the 2012 U.S. presidential campaign[87] and Gary Johnson in the 2016 U.S. presidential campaign.[88] Rogan has publicly supported Tulsi Gabbard and encouraged her to run for U.S. presidency in 2020.[89] On January 21, 2020, Rogan said he would "probably" vote for Bernie Sanders in the 2020 Democratic primary, adding, "He's been insanely consistent his entire life."[90]

Again, work out with Sean whether he supports a socialist or is actually a libertarian and get back to me. Universal basic income? Universal healthcare? Those sound like libertarian ideas to you?

He's a Libertarian, but supported Bernie strictly because he's been consistent. There's no contradiction. Try to keep up.

I'm just saying this is what he said, in fact, he said this in the very clip he proposed the debate with Tim Kennedy (because they brought up that same issue about partiality) so it's nothing like the example you gave about Maddow.

And Rogan is a comedian. Why should a comedian get to be the sole moderator of a presidential debate?

If I'm wrong on this then I'm wrong I guess. It's been a while since I dabbled in Libertarianism. That just sounds insane to me. Hopefully we can at least agree those wouldn't have been traditional Libertarian stances.

Maybe because we know it would be raw and unscripted and not coordinated in favor of one over the other, which is why Biden would never do it, nor would his handlers allow it. Ever. I mean, they were even trying to get him to stay out of a formal debate.

I don't listen to Rogan's podcast because I find him too objectionable from past comments he's made (perhaps he's changed his views since then). Is he really your first choice for a moderator to host a "raw and unscripted" debate? Is there really no one better?

Again, get Shep Smith or Chris Wallace or practically anyone else who actually works in journalism if you really think something like this is the right approach. Why a comedian?

If that debate happened, I'm firmly confident it would be the (not one of the) most viewed event in the history of media.

Have you ever actually listened to him? It might say "comedian" on his resume, but he's very well informed and politically savvy and regularly catches his guests off-guard with his very insightful and probing questions. If he hosted a debate, he would be hard on both candidates.

If anything, Joe Rogan is the serious journalist, and Rachael Maddow is the comedian.
