P.S. possibly worth noting that Trump supporter saying US allies should suffer probably won't endear Trump and his supporters to anyone in US allied nations who was on the fence. If you do actually want us to suffer then it becomes kinda difficult to even class you as an 'ally'.
Keep in mind that everyone (including allies) have a more positive attitude toward the U.S. when we are down (pretty much the entire Obamessiah's Administration) and our allies will naturally resent being told that there is no more free ride, they they'll be expected to start paying their way

      That's a very imaginative fantasy.

Allies like it when their allies suffer? That reminds me of Maranatha's post. Not really 'allies' if they desire suffering of their allies.

I've brought the fact up that our allies love us when we are down and resent us when we're up before, citing both polls and studies. It's pretty much human nature for a lot of folks. They get jealous and resentful of family and friends when they are successful but become supportive and comforting when those family and friends are suffering from a hard hit only to revert back to form when they get back on their feet again.

Obama ran around apologizing to everyone for America's supposed "arrogance" and put on a display of subservience by all but groveling at the feet of world leaders. Of course the world had a more "positive" view of the US while he was in office.

That reminds me of the Existential Threat the evil orange man poses to you. How does it go? Give us the war man obama with his drones and his wars. Such a pity leftists like war so much.

World Citizen Dingbats: "We hate the US because orange man bad!"

I do believe this is the level of analysis most lefties are capable of, sound and fury, with a little crying.

                LOL.

So now that the US has the highest death toll in the world due to Covid, and you've got unemployment at record levels, and GDP dropping by record levels, and riots in the streets...
...your own theory would predict your allies ought to love you cos you're down.

Except, the data shows your allies dislike you at record levels.

Seems your theory is the exact opposite of true, the way all your other posts have a tendency to be.

He told me he would have more room to maneuver with The Putin, once he won the election.

                    It's all about maneuvering.

Besides the US has to deal with irrational actors, like Germany. Totally stiffleled by their irrational fear of Russia. That's why they rely on Russia for energy, fear.

I even hear many euros love them some china over the orange man.

Do you hate Trump as much as you appear?

Being polite to him in public is not the same as "support." I mean look at how Trump addressed now former British PM Theresa May in private and then in public a few years back. Scolding and maybe even berating in the former and all smiles and praise in the latter.

The fact that they like you blame Trump for this and are suffering from the same problem (after arrogantly claiming they had overcome it only to see a resurgence of it again) might have something to do with it.

Wait... so your explanation for why your own theory predicts the exact opposite of the data concerning US international popularity among allied nations is...

For someone who loves to boast about how they're always the smartest person in the room you sure can be as thick as a brick some times.

I said that, like you, they blame Trump. They've been told that in some strange way Trump is somehow responsible for the Chicom coronavirus. Since they blame Trump, who represents the U.S., they aren't going to be very sympathetic toward our plight. The fact that they are experiencing another wave after pompously snorting at derision at the U.S. also means they have their own problems to worry about and not much time to spend worrying about other people's problems.
