Yeah, a presidential debate isn't supposed to be like debate club where you assign people different stances to assume. It is supposed to reveal your actual positions so people can decide if they want to vote for you or not.

Sounds like "I'm Jill Bliden's husband," and then he started coughing.

And what's with the mask in his hand? That was just goofy, and Jill's hand got stuck on it when they hugged.

Thing is, since it's on tape (I know, we don't use tape in video cameras anymore, but we still say, "Rolling," when pressing the record button), this is the sort of thing that could be easily fixed with another take, but then I'm thinking, maybe this was the best take they could get even after multiple attempts.

I don't think he's ever been known for crystal clear enunciation, so it's not surprising that his "Jill" could be mistaken as "Joe".

It probably helps if you know that "I'm Jill Biden's husband" is a line he uses a lot.
