Here's an article (admittedly a hostile source) that doesn't like Cuomo https://nypost.com/2020/09/30/its-pa...ndemic-powers/ . As a resident of the state, I find the facts in the article are reasonably accurate.

I tend to agree that Cuomo has gone too far in favor of health and ruined the state's economy and quality of life. Pretty much as soon as you step out of the house, he controls your life. And his unchecked powers run for at least 6 more months. Given the history of the NY Legislature, if he wants them extended, they will be extended. At least President Trump has a functioning opposition in the US House. Cuomo has no check on his power which makes him a bigger dictator than Trump.

With death tolls but a tiny fraction of what was experienced in New York thanks to this guy.

NY and NJ are still the worst but to call it a "tiny fraction" is pretty false. Look at the slope for North / South Dakota! Sorry for not finding the cleaner version of this graph I normally come across.

Around 10 states have lost 0.1% of their population just from COVID. That's nightmarish.

It's State of Union / State / County / City time again. I usually don't bother listening as it's usually full of promises that won't be fulfilled. I sit back and wait to see what actually happens.

Our beloved Governor Saint Cuomo the Great has decided one State of the State address isn't enough. He's doing a series of State of the State address this week - one a day for five days.

I know politicians do tend to be a bit self-focused. He's taking it too a whole new level. Heaven help our state for the next two years until the next election.

Sounds like one of those politicians who it is very dangerous to find yourself between them and a TV camera. Almost as dangerous as being between a mama bear and her young cubs.

He actually questioned de Blasio's plan to cut $1 billion from the NYC police budget. But in truth that probably has a lot more to do with his feud with di Blasio than any concern for what such an action would do.
