What is everybodys thoughts on this?

My thoughts are that if people are still treating news/information from social media as credible, we're ****ed as a nation.

Sorry. I stopped watching after 30 seconds, and wont consider this clip as having anything important to say. If I see the story being echoed by several media outlets, I'll start to take it more seriously.

Media consumers really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really need to take the time to recognize when they're being manipulated...

Opportunist political movements taking advantage of nationwide civil unrest. WOW, shocking! The important question is: why are these movements arising in the first place? What are the underlying causes? Why have young people veered towards socialist movements, which has been happening for at least a decade?

I'm willing to watch this video only if I can get a solid commitment from someone "on the right" that we can drill into it and its claims and see how true it seems to be. The bias comes off so thick from the description and other factors that it's hard for me to take seriously except as an exploration of the RWNJ rage machine you are all addicted to.

With this odd humour of yours, we will have a hard time knowing when you are serious. The regular media has become unreliable. This unreliability is at least part of the reason why 1/5 of the people trust the media. If you like the lies and coverup, stick with the mainstream media.

This illogical degree of trust is part of the weakness of the extreme leftist community.

Are you concerned that this will make you look bad or that it will just make the extremist left look bad?

So you think that this is some intricate conspiracy that is making fake video conferences just to make the extreme left look worse that it is?

I haven't watched the video. It's not worth it to me to watch it and take my time to investigate its claims closely if that work is going to just be ignored by the RWNJs here.

If you're sure this video has meat on the bone then commit to spending time looking into it (as you are expecting of me) and let's see where we end up.

A lot of the "evidence" that was used to suggest that political movements were agitating this unrest have been debunked. Like the whole thing about bricks being mysteriously placed in hot spot riot locations turned out to actually be for construction purposes. The stones that were in caged frames lining the streets turned out to be city barriers. Etc. That's not to say there isn't clear evidence of social movement agitators seizing the opportunity, but much of what is being passed in social media is misinformation.

The value that I see in something like this is the embedded videos of persons actually saying what they're reported to have said, with body language and tone of voice on parade.

If you examine material showing up alternative media, you have to be aware that there will be details that have to be rejected or tentatively accepted. You actually have to be open to a different perspective of what is happening but you also have to use your mind to analyze what is most likely real details and what is most likely false. Too often, in the modern era, we have been trained to just accept what the media says or what the government says. The problem with this is that we then just spout out what we have been told -- even to deny our own sensibilities about what is happening.

Right now it seems there is a high level of naïveté about the trouble this country is in. This is an innocense in this that is desirabable 50 years ago but is not appropriate today.

People could claim this is a right-wing thing or say it is left-wing. Whichever way you see it, it is not likely to turn out well under the changes that would happen.

Note that I am not quite so happy that this was an InfoWars report. I am a bit more cautious about the motives of InfoWars. However, if the video conferencing is accurate, then we are given vital information.

So you didn't watch it basically?

Fine, only pay attention to what the activists are saying in the footage alone. Don't listen to Millie if you don't want to.

Obviously they hired a lookalike to play the part of AOC.

Ever heard of 'deep fakes'? To understand if something like this is real, you need to know the sources of the footage. There is so much misinformation out there, it's usually not worth the time to pursue something completely off the wall like this very far. Usually, they are bogus.
My brethren, do not hold your faith in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ with an attitude of personal favoritism. James 2:1

If anyone thinks himself to be religious, and yet does not  bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this man’s religion is worthless James 1:26

This you know, my beloved brethren. But everyone must be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger; James 1:19
