Does one have to be politically biased to disapprove a person who works hand in hand with highly corrupt (and approves of) people like Tedros? Tedros, as a (former?) communist revolutionist out of Ethiopia. There is too much blatant corruption here for my tastes.

I haven't seen a good response to this question.

A vaccine would be great, but a cure would be even better and the promise of this study is that they have found that a drug can block the virus which is something they didn't know previously. Remdesivir has benefits in and of itself such as easing of symptoms, lessening time of recovery and better rates of survival. But Remdesivir is just a first step, a very big first step, which is, according to Dr. Fauci the same first step acheived when eventually finding a treatment for HIV. Just as was done then, they are now testing other drugs to add to the mix and are confident that with a combination, a cocktail if you will, they will be able to find the right mix to cure the virus.

Remdesiver is not even a tablet. It is injectible. And Gillead has said they would be providing it for free (or at cost) - probably because if they didn't the governments of the world would just take it under emergency powers act.
