This article suggests a couple of moves Pelosi might make

The first article of impeachment effectively charges the president with shaking down Ukraine; the second impeaches him for his unprecedented obstruction of Congress. That gives the speaker room to maneuver. She could choose to tweak her announcement and send only the second article, on obstruction, for trial. Or she could transmit them both — along with a House-approved provision advising the Senate that if it fails to obtain adequate witnesses and documents, the House will reopen the investigation into Article I and subpoena that material itself.
I think Pelosi sending just one of the articles would be hilarious and send the message that she's still in the driver's seat (not necessary the right way to make this call ). Point being she still seemingly has cards to play so it might be a bit premature to assert that she "blinked."

Nah, if she tries any shenanigans, the Senate has the option to simply dismiss the articles outright, possibly without a vote. Ol' Nancy has zero leverage here. She never did.

On 1 July 2015, Murdoch left his post as CEO of 21st Century Fox.[11] However, Murdoch and his family would continue to own both 21st Century Fox until 2019 and News Corp through the Murdoch Family Trust until 20th Century Fox itself was purchased by Disney.

Many news watchers have commented on a shift at Fox News since this which can be seen by Trump's recent frequent swipes at it. Even when Murdoch did have controlling interest even a cursory look at the content of the programs on the Fox broadcast network revealed that it was anything but pro-Trump.

In any case, it does appear to be an unsourced claim, which is what MM asked and you dodged.

          1. It is also interesting that an avowed dyed-in-the-wool Socialist such as yourself apparently has a subscription to WSJ.

You might want to check out how often Breitbart articles contain the words "sources say". Very few seaches will leave you a lot wiser.

Seems like a pretty credible story to me. First off, it's a pretty major news source that is touting a pretty major scandal that could be seriously damning to that source if it wasn't credible. Secondly, I can't imagine anyone making it up since it doesn't really reflect positively on either partisan side. It doesn't serve the right because it makes the republican senators look corrupt. It doesn't serve the left because it explains Trump's aggressive action towards Iran which is something the left was admonishing him for. It also explains things that were inexplicable about the entire scenario.

Her overcautiousness has been a problem for years.
After her return to the Speakership in 2018 Pelosi's style of leadership has changed dramatically. I don't know if it is because she is scared of losing her precious oversized gavel again or if it is because of internal differences (having to contend with the media darlings that make up "the squat").

McConnell, who so often comes across as a tower of jello, definitely schooled her here.

Just like how the Democrats miscalculated when they thought their impeachment circus would galvanize support for their cause, the same thing happened when Pelosi held onto the articles of impeachment refusing to send them over to the Senate until they were allowed to usurp control. Instead of there being a groundswell of support for her antics folks understood that this directly contradicted the Democrat mantra that the impeachment had to be done as soon as possible if not sooner and in the end she only saw an increase in opposition to her tactics -- even from within her own party.
