        A) It wasn't an article
        2) It was a video that was filled with a bunch out-of-context video snippets
        C) You're right about you don't need a reason to spew forth your anti-Christian venom

Other than that, you were 100% right!

The question was "What message is the video trying to convey?" and you tried to answer without watching the video, which is absurd, but I guess responding in ignorance is business as usual for you.

I doubt it will have much effect, if any.

US conservatives seem misguidedly obsessed with court cases and judges, wrongly believing that trying to cheat the system by stacking the judiciary appointments will solve their problems. In actual fact, overall what the average judge does is enforce the law. So if court cases are regularly being decided in ways that conservatives find objectionable, the solution is to change the law. Trying to cheat their way to victory by rigging the court system but not changing the underlying law is basically never going to work, because they will in practice never be able to appoint enough judges, and as soon as they did their achievement would be undone by the next democratic administration anyway. Anytime a given judge gives a decision that's not consistent with current law it will just get appealed up the chain, so the judge's decision won't count, so trying to rig judiciary appointments on the whole is a fundamentally pointless exercise.

SCOTUS appointments are in a different category, because the judges there can make decisions about the constitutionality of things and constitutional principles, and their decisions can sometimes be bizarre and are hard to change by law (a constitutional amendment being the next best thing to impossible in the US). But there's been a Republican-majority on SCOTUS for the past 50 years or so. Yet, US conservatives still get upset about judicial decisions regularly, and seem convinced that if only they put up with awful leaders like Trump for just a few more years, they will Totally Finally get a SCOTUS who decrees that conservativism is in the constitution and that all non-conservative laws are unconstitutional. ...that doesn't seem likely to happen. And it's kinda pathetic to see US conservatives believing year after year after year, that if they put just one more Republican in the presidency one more time that they'll finally get one more conservative judge on SCOTUS and that then they'll have rigged the courts sufficiently that all their conservative dreams will come true. ...in practice that's just not likely to work, at all. And it's kinda pathetic that they've been doing this year after year for the past 50 years, have had a majority on SCOTUS for all that time, yet don't seem to have the intelligence to realize their strategy has not succeeded.

Appointing conservatives to the judiciary is in starlight's world "trying to cheat the system."

Maybe the Dems can add that to their reasons to impeach him.

I'm always still in trouble again

The key word here is “trying to cheat the system. " There is no reason to think this will work but it reflects the Trumpian mindset to cheat to get what you want. Trump's conservative Christian base wants a conservative judiciary to hopefully overturn RvW and LGBT rights so that’s what Trump will give them. He doesn’t care – so long as he continues to get their vote.
