He said that's what his meeting with Suleimani on the morning of the assassination was going to be about.
Well he sure was gullible, wasn't he?

The sources are the US Military, and we have known he was "Totally a Bad Guy" for many years. Obama had him sanctioned for Terrorism long before Trump blew him up.

Trump Told Mar-a-Lago Pals to Expect ‘Big’ Iran Action ‘Soon’:

In the five days prior to launching a strike that killed Iran’s most important military leader, Donald Trump roamed the halls of Mar-a-Lago, his private resort in Florida, and started dropping hints to close associates and club-goers that something huge was coming.

According to three people who’ve been at the president’s Palm Beach club over the past several days, Trump began telling friends and allies hanging at his perennial vacation getaway that he was working on a “big” response to the Iranian regime that they would be hearing or reading about very “soon.” His comments went beyond the New Year’s Eve tweet he sent out warning of the “big price” Iran would pay for damage to U.S. facilities. Two of these sources tell The Daily Beast that the president specifically mentioned he’d been in close contact with his top national security and military advisers on gaming out options for an aggressive action that could quickly materialize.

“He kept saying, ‘You’ll see,’” one of the sources recalled, describing a conversation with Trump days before Thursday’s strike.

You're a complete lunatic. You're just asserting that the top congresspeople who have been getting classified briefings for years, would randomly just go out and break the law by leaking a key state secret. And basic on nothing except your own lack of braincells.

Star, have you spent even 5 minutes trying to find out who this man is, and what he has done? Is your hatred for Trump so intense that you have to de-demonize a terrorist?

In fact, the Constitution gives the President of the United States the authority to use military action without informing Congress and without formally declaring war. Just because the Democrats call it "an act of war" because one of their terrorist buddies was taken out doesn't make it so.

Has General Mattis plotted with terrorist cells to carry out attacks specifically on civilians?

If he was killed in the mist of a conflict then no. And that was a conflict with Iran as an enemy.

No, it would be a major escalation in a war we're already in.

Saying to someone that you can expect "big" action on Iran "soon" is hardly the same thing. In fact it isn't even close. Given Trump's past actions the first thing to expect is increased sanctions. And of course we wouldn't know when, just the nebulous "soon."

As for "top congresspeople" releasing classified information... One of the leading Democrats in the Senate, Patrick Leahy, has long been known as "Leaky Leahy" because of his habit of doing just that. In 1987 he leaked the Reagan administration's operational plans to topple Muammar Gaddafi to the MSM which forced the cancelling of the operation. His leaking got so bad that eventually he was forced to step down from the Senate Intelligence Committee where he was the top Democrat.

And then of course there is Adam Schiff who regularly released information deemed classified in his attempt to get Trump.

Further, it isn't always the elected official but someone on their staff. Sort of like what we saw during the Kavanaugh confirmation hearings which resulted in two Democrat Senate staffers being convicted of leaking information with one, Jackson Cosko[1], being sentenced to four years behind bars.

                        1. Not sure exactly who he was working for at the time but he's been a senior staffer for Senators Dianne Feinstein and Barbara Boxer as well as Sheila Jackson Lee, a member of the House Judiciary Committee.

Soleimani is joining a long list of bloody handed monsters revered by the left. He is being enshrined with the likes "Uncle Joe" Stalin (who Star still claims was a right winger ) and Mao. I'm old enough to remember all the leftists running about carrying the latter's Little Red Book and spouting quotes from it in response to virtually everything (the Beatles even mocked folks like that in one of their songs).

Under Iran's just declared "rules" he is. They just said that "military targets" (and that would include generals) are fair game.
