They claimed that it had to be in secret so that Trump wouldn't know what was going on but nobody fell for that since it was obvious that Trump would get detailed briefings from Republicans on the committee.

Then they said it was so that it was to keep the other witnesses from hearing testimony, which didn't require going down into the basement to accomplish and was contradicted by Schiff's habit of leaking testimony that he liked.

The real reason was to keep the public from knowing what was going on so that Schiff could represent everything how he wanted it to be represented. Kind of like how he did during his opening comments concerning the phone call between Trump and Zelensky

Nope, you're definitely a bunch of whiners. There were very legitimate reasons for the closed hearings. But then after the hearings were opened, you whined about that as well. When republicans were the majority, investigating the made up charges concerning Clinton and Benghazi i'll bet you weren't complaining about the process, or about Trey Gowdy, were you? So far, when you take Trumps constant obstruction of Congress into consideration, his blocking of witnesses, his withholding of documents, the hearings couldn't have gone any better at exposing the truth. The facts of Trumps guilt is out there to see, i.e for all those with the capacity to see. Unfortunately Trumps cult members such as you conservative/republican nutters here on tweb haven't that capacity. There are none so blind..........
