This isn't the vote that will be remembered.

      Doesn't mean it isn't significant.

There will be a vote on impeachment well before the next election, and after that vote, no one will care to remember how people voted on a process issue. It's the vote on impeachment which will figure in political ads, and in the history books.

And more, that's not the vote people will remember, either.

It's only the vote in the Senate that counts.

You can be incredibly binary when you want to be.

Him telling the truth with the no pressure comment is not the simplest explanation. It contradicts the known evidence. The truth is more likely in evidence when he said he does not want to get involved in US political matters. You are being naive, or worse, you know him telling the truth about the pressure from Trump is unlikely and you are just participating in the Trump narrative out of your loyalty
              to him.

My brethren, do not hold your faith in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ with an attitude of personal favoritism. James 2:1

If anyone thinks himself to be religious, and yet does not  bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this man’s religion is worthless James 1:26

This you know, my beloved brethren. But everyone must be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger; James 1:19

MM, there is a question that has always puzzled me. Why would a person with no conscience be motivated to become a Christian? Such a person has no sense of guilt or of ever doing wrong, so how can they ever actually be motivated to repent?

And supposing they did for some odd reason decide become a Christian. How would they ever know when they were doing wrong when it wasn't spelled out literally in the Biblical text?

                    Why not both?

So I am right, you do believe Trump is the an Antichrist. Thanks for the admitting it.

You can be so petulant when you're proven wrong.

This vote will be forgotten in two weeks. The House vote on impeachment will be forgotten in two years. The Senate vote will figure in history books, for decades, with endless analysis of the position of every Senator, with the House votes relegated to the footnotes.

                        I'm not saying that's right or wrong. I'm saying that's a fact.

And you know it, too, or you wouldn't be attacking the messenger.

We'll have to see if that's true should I ever be proven wrong.

That question wan't about Donald Trump.

And no, I don't believe every person that lacks or has a deficient conscience is the 'anti-Christ'. That would be some pretty serious Theological error.

But if you think I believe Trump doesn't have a conscience, or one of any significance, you would be correct. I've said that several times on these pages.

You really need to get over this persecution complex, brother.
