Biden is a joke. If he is the best the democrats have, then welcome to 4 more years of Trump. Elizabeth Warren isn't much better. Heck I think Yang is better than both of them but he doesn't have much of a following. He at least makes sense and can speak in complete sentences on stage.
And Yang is calling out his fellow Democrats for being obsessed with impeachment.

Biden's long history of making wacky off-script remarks has nothing to do with stuttering.

I actually like Yang. I don't agree with his basic income idea, but he is likeable and articulate and seems to be genuine and not a swamp creature like Biden, Warren and Sanders. Heck even Buttigeig is better than those three.

Speaking of excuses that has to be one of the sorriest excuses I've ever heard offered for why Biden has had a reputation of being a human gaffe machine stretching back several decades.

It's only willful fools, at this point, who pretend that polling was wide of the mark. It was in line with or slightly better than past elections.

Re: Trump. I totally agree. Trump is horrible at speeches. I can't stand to listen to more than 5 minutes of him. He just talks in soundbites and cheers to rouse the crowd. He is also rude and mean. Biden on the other hand just comes across as incompetent and like he has dementia or something. He forgets what he is talking about, makes a lot of off the wall comments (like about his hairy legs), and so on. I think he needs to get checked out by a doctor. I don't think he is fit to lead the country in his condition.

Yes, I'm not sure how Biden casually mentioning to a black audience that he learned about roaches while working in their community can be attributed to stuttering.

Trump's rather famous for meandering in his speeches, often travelling to "off the wall" comments and grievances. If that's the standard, we've already got a big problem.

Trump seems to be doing the "stream of consciousness" thing where he just changes topics in mid sentence with some parenthetical comment and repeating and using way too many adjectives. A written transcript of his rally speeches reads like a bad LSD trip.

There really are too many to mention. From an opinion piece by op-ed writer for the Washington Post Dana Milbank a few months back

Source: Joe Biden isn't just a gaffe machine. He's the Lamborghini of gaffes

                    ...

And nothing will get your relatives to demand power of attorney more rapidly than misplacing a decade. "Bobby Kennedy and Dr. King had been assassinated in the '70s, the late '70s, when I got engaged," Biden said last week.

Oh, God love me! What is this malarkey?

The former vice president has admitted to being a "gaffe machine." That's false modesty. He is the Lamborghini of gaffes.

He announced that “poor kids are just as bright and just as talented as white kids.” He located the El Paso and Dayton mass-shootings in “Houston” and “Michigan.” He recalled a visit with survivors of the 2018 Parkland shooting — before the shooting happened.

He confused "Margaret Thatcher" with Theresa May and Angela Merkel, referred to the Second Amendment as the First, tripled the number of casualties of the 1970 Kent State shooting and mixed up his campaign website with a text-message code. At the Iowa State Fair, he thundered: "We choose truth over facts!"

Less felicitously, he also joked about gay waiters, entitled millennials and his too-tactile ways — and praised a segregationist's "civility." Things got so bad that Biden's neurologist offered a virtual doctor's note, telling Politico that he's "as sharp as he was 31 years ago."

True. Biden has been churning out malapropisms since 1987, when he was still delivering Neil Kinnock's speeches.

This is the man who claimed "I've known eight presidents, three of them intimately." Even with such intimate knowledge, he later confided: "I'd rather be at home making love to my wife while my children are asleep."

He proclaimed Barack Obama "the first African American in the history of the United States." During a rally, he called attention to "a three-letter word: jobs." He once introduced his running mate as "Barack America."

Some say it's unfair to draw attention to Biden when President Trump is the most mendacious politician ever. I disagree: Biden's gaffes are to be celebrated, for they make him exciting. When he opens his mouth, nobody knows what is going to come out — least of all Biden.

Biden once said to a paralyzed man in a wheelchair: "Stand up, Chuck." He mourned one woman ("God rest her soul") who hadn't died. He described Obama as "the first mainstream African American who is articulate and bright and clean."

He disclosed that Franklin D. Roosevelt went on television in 1929, before TV existed. He predicted that if Obama were elected, "we're going to have an international crisis." He declared that Hillary Clinton "might have been a better pick than me" for vice president. He reported that "you cannot go to a 7-Eleven ... unless you have a slight Indian accent." He frankly told one audience: "You all look dull as hell."

And there are so many, many more which would be listed as lies of the most vilest sort if uttered by Trump.

                    Oh, and

Biden's gaffes are to be celebrated, for they make him exciting. When he opens his mouth, nobody knows what is going to come out — least of all Biden

He does ramble which is one of the many reasons that I can not stand listening to him make a speech.

I agree. Biden has dementia or similar. Anyone who's paying attention has noticed it (including donors and Obama) but for the moment the media seems hesitant to report it to the general public and so Biden's numbers are still high with people not paying attention. I sincerely hope Biden doesn't manage to totter across the line in the Dem primary, cos he'll sure face-plant immediately in the general.

Overall Sanders is looking well positioned to win both the primary and general. If I was a betting man, that's where my money would be going. It seems that behind the scenes Obama is panicking that Sanders is going to win so is trying to mobilize the donors to support Warren instead. But for the moment Warren seems to be losing to Sanders on all the metrics I've looked at.
