Hey! If Sweden eats Denmark, can we buy Greenland? I mean, Denmark has all those nice, fat Continentals! Why eat your babies when you can have Danish!

They must not trust God to control the population. And if you want to go with the naturalistic world view, aren't we a part of the system? Many countries are reproducing below replacement lwvels, so the main problem will be too many old people.
Pretty sure neither God nor sanity were brought up in that debate...

They would probably complain if God culled them from the population.
If it weren't for the Resurrection of Jesus, we'd all be in DEEP TROUBLE!

That would be a neat trick.

I think it's time we actively work to destroy the climate. No climate, no problem, right?

Anybody know how many tons of CO2 it would take to get up to 500 ppm? Let's get this party started!

So that’s why labs around the world are stocking up on baby food and hot sauce. Make sense now.

Well as someone who can actually understand what they were speaking, its clear that this was just a minor idea, put up for discussion amongst a lot of discussion topics. The interviewer really tries to put it to the professor to say that he's interested in eating human meat. He answers that it was just indeed just one of several topics, and that he very much doubts that it would ever be used.

So methinks the media is just trying to spin this into something big when it was just a weird topic raised for discussion.

Why not? It's the future so they should know what's going to happen!

A thread about cannibalism sounds like it’s perfect for Futurama references.

I recommend this prayer, best recited every morning while you brush your teeth:
I, seer, beg you, merciful Christ, to protect me, lest the storms of the underworld swallow me up.
