UPDATE: The Lord has provided this man with some spine. Donald Sterling will, in fact, fight to the bloody end.

Vox's take is the best harsh:

It's also fascinating to hear everyone claiming that the NBA's internal system of justice somehow trumps state and federal law just because the owners agreed to it. I mean, we all know that no judge has ever overturned a prenuptial agreement or a business contract, right?

I suspect the league will have a very hard time claiming it had to act for fear of damage that never actually happened. Silver would have been smarter to let the players boycott first, then step in, as there would be actual damage to which he could point. But, since it's entirely theoretical now, Tokowitz can point to the full stadiums and TV ratings and very credibly argue that no harm has been done by his continued ownership of the team.

How much of one company's fortune will be spent to save Holy Diversity from the nefarious clutches of the Evil White Jew?

      2 billion dollars.

Let the sport be destroyed, and let the faith of its fans be crushed.

That's basically the same price as Guggenheim (with Magic Johnson as the frontman and Mike Milken on the phone) paid for the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2012, which has prevented 70% of Dodger fans from watching their team on cable TV this year due to demands for much higher fees from cable companies.

So, expect a similar Greed Squeeze on Clippers fans now that the Evilest Man in the World no longer owns the team. I mean, it's not like the former CEO of Microsoft understands anything about exploiting market power to earn quasi-monopolistic profits.
Not one Brown Scare was ever anything but a plot to pull money or power. The Trayvon Martin affair was all about getting huge cash payouts for the layabout family. The Brendan Eich affair was all about the government getting DRM into the most popular browser. And if Ballmer hadn't played the Greater Knave, this one would have been all about Magic Johnson and the Guggenheim monopolizing ever more of the sports world.

Anti-racism is about getting the suckers to force your corporate takeovers for you.

              This one is.

              Nothing left to say but

              And:

First they came for the Dongle-gate IT guy
              And we spoke out
Because we knew we would be next

Then they came for Pax Dickinson
              And we spoke out
Because we knew we would be next

Then Kevin Conboy came for Heartiste
              And we spoke out
Because we knew we would be next

              They came for many others
And we spoke out each time
Because we knew we would be next

Then they came for us, saying we caused a mass murder
And we fought back because we knew how
              And then they ran away

It couldn't have happened to a more deserving employer of felons.
