But... but... Charity Navigator gave the Clinton Foundation its highest rating!

(After the Clintons bribed Charity Navigator to change it from the organization's lowest rating.)

Where’s the part that says the Clinton family are accused of using charitable foundation ‘like a piggy bank’...you know, like the Trump family were charged with resulting in the Trump Foundation being dissolved?

So... some Republicans are convinced the Clinton Foundation is dodgy.

                Snooze.

The Clinton Foundation is like catnip for Republican conspiracy theorists. Wake me when it's actually prosecuted for misdeeds, like, y'know, The Trump Foundation.

The one that the press loved to coo about was the Clinton Global Initiative which was separated from the Clinton Foundation awhile back. And yet for some strange reason almost immediately after Hillary lost in 2016 they closed its doors and laid everyone off. Why would anyone do such a thing if it was such a great charity?

                    Talking about this one?

The obituaries missed how Bill Clinton’s most important post-presidential legacy lives on in spirit – and in practice.
Contrary to the negative commentary, the January announcement about CGI wasn’t the product of a post-election capitulation. Last September, almost two months before Election Day, Bill Clinton publicly announced the end of CGI at the organization’s 12th annual conference in New York City. He had informed the CGI staff in August, as part of a broader reorganization of the Clinton Foundation that anticipated Hillary Clinton’s expected victory in November.
Like so much publicity about CGI and the Clinton Foundation during the months leading up to the presidential election, however, those stories were heavy on hostile innuendo and light on basic facts. The obituaries obscured the bigger picture, showing how the ambitious enterprise had permanently changed the direction of philanthropy, both in the United States and abroad. They also missed the fact that CGI hadn’t really died.

The evidence that it was more than just Republicans who thought that the Clinton Foundation is dodgy is the fact that donations dropped 88% after Hillary lost in 2016 -- going from $216 million that year to just $26.5 million in 2017. It's almost like those donating realized that their money couldn't buy political favors and lost interest.

Btw, the author of your piece has a long sordid history of running interference for Democrats especially the Clintons. He carried the Clinton's water wrt Whitewater dutifully repeating their spin, and has acted as some sort of unofficial press secretary for the Global Initiative since its inception. He wrote The Hunting of the President: The 10 Year Campaign to Destroy Bill and Hillary Clinton which continued to push the silly "vast right wing conspiracy" myth of Hillary's (you know, all those stories about Bill being a serial philanderer were nothing but fabrications by a "vast right wing conspiracy") as well as The Hunting of Hillary where all evidence of corruption concerning her was hand waved away as nothing but lies by haters.

OTOH, his other specialty is writing political hit pieces targeting Republicans including publicizing rumors about George H.W. Bush was having an affair (ironic considering how much effort he put into quashing the stories about Bill Clinton's actual affairs), even after fellow journalist Jack Germond (who once said that George H.W. Bush was the most evil person he ever met) told him that there was no truth to the rumors.

Not exactly a trustworthy or unbiased source.

What, exactly, is ad hominem about it? What facts does he have wrong? If the facts are not wrong, why is each one immaterial to the point at hand? Just wondering. If you don't mind, I'd appreciate a point by point rebuttal as to why each is immaterial.
