In the next election it will be Senate republican seats up for grabs. Democrat candidates got more votes in this election than republicans got in their big wave election of 2010. Things are a changin, it just takes a little time, we'll be rid of the conservative knuckleheads, not soon enough, but soon.
I'd say this is a pretty good sign of JimL not being very happy with the election results.

That doesn't even make sense JimL. Did you get drunk when you realized your side was losing last night?

Yeah once they have families and start having to pay taxes for these liberal handouts for others, they tend to start becoming conservatives.

Or, the more modern version -- only three groups of people vote for liberals: the young, the addled and the dead.

The blue wave wasn't what they were repeatedly promised and they're waking up to disappointment yet again.

The night was still young when a dismayed Jake Tapper, CNN's Chief Washington Correspondent was reluctantly admitting "what's going on here tonight, this is not a blue wave. This is not a wave that is knocking out all sorts of Republican incumbents." CNN's chief political analyst Gloria Borger soon followed with the admission that "there is no tsunami. There's no tsunami coming." Obama's former Green Jobs czar and regular CNN contributor Van Jones wore his emotions on his sleeve bemoaning that "this is heartbreaking, though. It's heartbreaking" while trying to rally the troops to "continue the fight" and to "fight forward."

Meanwhile over on MSNBC they were also visibly shaken and upset but also angry. About the same time Tapper on CNN was acknowledged there was no blue wave Savannah Guthrie, who recently replaced Ann Curry as co-anchor of Today conceded that "it is not a total blowout on the part of Democrats" followed by former NBC Nightly News anchor Tom Brokaw solemnly declaring "Donald Trump and his followers are still intact." Meet the Press moderator Chuck Todd chimed in also admitting that there was "not a blue wave." Brokaw would later put the blame on Pelosi and Schumer and suggest it was time for them to step aside.

Looking at my state's voter poll results it still looks like it was only about a 15% turnout of registered voters here. It looked pretty crowded to me, but apparently it wasn't that huge of a turnout for either side.

eta; 15% was my county. the state overall was 20% turnout

OTOH the blow-back from the way Kavanaugh's accusers were treated was the reason why the House shifted more to the left with a record turnout of mid-term voters including record numbers of college educated women.

Perhaps you are unaware that some of these accusers have totally admitted they were fraudulently accusing Kavanaugh? And you're really proud of the scumbag porno star lawyer who flat out lied on behalf of his client? You're still defending this debacle?
