My wife - well before we first met - once had a workmate of a similar age who liked to get a bit too touchy - touch her hair, put his hand on her arm etc. One day at work he put his hand on her forearm, and she loudly said "Take your time, touch all that you want. Is there anywhere else you'd like to touch, or just my arm?". This in a quite conservative culture where if a couple held hands in public that was seen as basically letting everyone know they were also sleeping together.

Problem solved, no more over-friendly body language from him.

She elbowed him in the ribs hard enough to make him gasp and then walked out of the theater.

    She was pretty awesome.

Yeah, you can't just post a link without some indication of what it's about.

Debates (points for your position) made via weblink are not allowed. Weblinks may be used when a substantive summary of the point being made is posted on the board with a link given for further information regarding your position. Remember responsive arguments are to be as personal as possible, not "cut and paste" dueling articles. This can be avoided by giving one's personal analysis along with an article, or just quoting the specifically relevant portions and showing relevance.

Even when the man is taking liberties, and the woman is doing what feels is necessary to protect herself? Or perhaps you prefer that a woman always be meek so you can pull a Joe Biden and sneak a little grope without fear of being slapped.

Don't mind Jimmy. He just wants wants a world where he can sneak a kiss like his hero Handsy Joe and not get slugged for it.

So, what would you do then, you didn't answer the question?
But I thought you liberals were all about female empowerment.
Aren't you? Or do you want to keep them in their place?

Unnecessary violence has nothing to do with being a strong woman.
