Hillary: Kavanaugh’s Accuser Deserves ‘the Benefit of the Doubt’

But when it was her husband who was actually being unfaithful....

According to journalist Michael Isikoff, the Clinton campaign in 1992 spent $100,000 on private-detective work related to women. The approach, when rumors first popped up, was to get affidavits from women denying affairs — the reflex of most women is to avoid exposure — and, failing that, to use any discrediting tool at hand.

Hillary was fully on board. When a rock groupie told Penthouse in late 1991 that a state trooper approached her on Gov. Clinton’s behalf, Hillary said “we have to destroy her story.”

Hillary ran the what they called the "Nuts and Sluts" War Room where women were intimidated into silence and those who had the temerity not to kowtow were dragged through the mud. The original war on women.

His attitude toward women can be gauged by this episode of high school sexual aggression and the attitudes of his best friend and co-aggressor Mark Judge, who has a reputation for sexist attitudes.

Nearly 600 women from Christine Blasey Ford’s high school have signed on to an open letter saying that they support her and believe her account that Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her in high school.

“Dr. Blasey Ford’s experience is all too consistent with stories we heard and lived while attending Holton. Many of us are survivors ourselves,” the letter reads... the letter does not refer specifically to Ford’s allegations against Kavanaugh but rather to the experiences of women more generally.

I think that nearly all of us could say similar things about our time in High School. Most of us did a lot of dumb things back then we'd hardly want being widely published. But that can hardly be equated to an admission that you're an attempted sexual assault.

It's that and more with regard to Brett Kavanaugh. With Merrick Garland he was simply not considered sufficiently conservative by the political Right. Whereas Kavanaugh, although reliably conservative, has sexual baggage that renders him unsuitable for a life-long appointment to the Supreme Court, where he must be personally beyond reproach...especially as he will have to rule on issues connected to women's rights.

              Not really.

I certainly can't. My high school days were extremely mundane, you could publish the entirety of it and people would fall asleep reading it. Most of my friends would be likewise. Neither myself nor anyone I knew ever got detention, and there were no parties, no relationships, no drinking and no drugs. I once had an article published about me in the local paper because I played for the school chess team... riveting stuff.

I'm sure some schools are much different to others in this regard though.

Again excessive drinking is hardly the equivalent of being guilty of attempted sexual assault.
I think it's possible Kavanaugh and his buddy were so drunk they don't remember it. His buddy describes himself as a "blackout" drunk, and Professor Ford says the reason she was able to escape the attempted rape by the two was that they were so drunk.

So you're just accepting these claims as true despite the fact that the supposed "victim" has effectively admitted that she can't prove a word of it, and there are notable discrepancies in her story.

Except Broadrrick can name a specific time and place where it happened, has been consistent with her account over the years, and there are two people who can corroborate certain key details.

Contrast this with Ford who has told multiple versions of her story (she's inconsistent on whether it was 1, 2, or 4 boys who assaulted her), can't pinpoint a date or location, can't recall key details like how she got to the party or who else was there, and there is nobody who can corroborate her story; in fact, the only person she has named in addition to Kavanaugh has emphatically denied the account.

So, yeah, not like Broadrrick at all. Not even close.

Just as I said, they are trying to distance themselves from her so as to not get caught in any blowback when it is shown she is lying.

Also I heard this morning that Ford is saying "she is not ready to speak to congress yet" and Feinstein is trying to get an FBI investigation before she testifies, which I predicted also. Delaying tactics to keep the vote from happening until after November. The Republicans are not giving in to that and said that there is no reason to delay because she is only testifying to her own recollection and the FBI investigation will not impact that. The FBI is saying there is nothing to investigate.

Next move once the delaying is not working anymore is to just not show up. I hope the Republicans force a vote and stop playing the democrats game.

So Kavanaugh himself, his co-accused, and ~600 women from Professor Ford's nearby girls high school, all agree that there was a terrible culture at Kavanaugh's high-school, where bad things happened.
600 girls? Who "[do] not refer specifically to Ford’s allegations against Kavanaugh but rather to the experiences of women more generally."

                          Right.

Because Starlight there is no way there were that many girls in that class, and no way ALL of them would be accosted by Kavanaugh. This is just more democratic delaying tactics. You can get 600 people to sign anything. Source: Lawyer: Kavanaugh Accuser ‘Not Prepared’ to Testify on Monday, Before FBI Investigation

The attorney for the Palo Alto, California, psychology professor who accused Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault while they were high school students said on Tuesday evening that her client, Christine Blasey Ford, is “not prepared” to appear before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Monday for a hearing without a full FBI investigation into her allegations.

Lisa Banks, one of Ford’s lawyers, told CNN’s Anderson Cooper that though Ford is “prepared to cooperate with the committee and any law enforcement investigation… in whatever form that takes,” she is “not prepared to talk with them at a hearing on Monday” and “can’t focus on having a hearing” after receiving “death threats” and “harassment” in recent days.

Ford’s lawyers reportedly sent a letter to Senate Judiciary Committee Chuck Grassley (R-IA) on Tuesday evening indicating that Ford wants to testify after an FBI investigation is conducted. In the letter, Ford’s lawyers wrote that “a full investigation by law enforcement officials will ensure that the crucial facts and witnesses in this matter are assessed in a non-partisan manner, and that the Committee is fully informed before conducting any hearing or making any decisions.”
