Here's anther Story about the American Ideal
https://wsvn.com/news/local/florida-...uld-get-a-job/
A police officer in Tallahassee helped a homeless man get a job, and his act of kindness was caught on camera.
According to Tallahassee Police, the man had gone into a McDonald’s on Sunday to apply for a job.
The man, identified only as Phil by the Tallahassee Democrat, was told he couldn’t be hired unless he shaved his beard.
Phil got a razor and tried to shave in the parking lot of a gas station next door to the restaurant. That’s when Officer Tony Carlson noticed he was having trouble and approached him.
Carlson said Phil told him he was trying to get a job, so he helped the man shave so he could go back and get hired.
“If he’s wanting to help himself, I need to be more than helpful and try to help him out the best I can,” Carlson told the newspaper.

I posted this on another board. It is our church feeding the poor. And all the years we have been this not once did the local paper run a story.

This is America
This is the True America not the divisive narrative our politicians and news media are trying to build up. It is People working for their dreams no matter what happens as well as People helping People on their own not forced to do so.
When a young Birmingham college student's car broke down the night before he was supposed to start a new job, he didn't panic. At least not for long.
Instead, Walter Carr walked. From Homewood to Pelham. All night. In the dark. 20 miles or more.
and later.
It was in Pelham that the trek took a surprising turn. Kindness and concern from four Pelham police officers coupled with publicly-posted words of amazement and admiration from the moving company's clients about Carr's work ethic and dedication, led to a massive pat on the back Monday from Bellhops CEO Luke Marklin.
Marklin drove in from Tennessee under the guise of meeting Carr for coffee to personally thank him. That meeting ended with Marklin surprising Carr by giving Carr his own barely-driven 2014 Ford Escape.
If you have more stories along this lines please feel free to post them.
If you want to comment on the stories please do so with respect if you can't be respectful don't post. this is not to be used to say you think your sides view is the only view that matters it is to show how the American ideals set up by our founders, when properly understood do work.Last edited by RumTumTugger; 07-18-2018, 11:20 AM.Tags: None
