Yeah he does have a whiny voice.

Morally, I would vote for Pence. But I don't think he would make a great president when it came to making hard decisions. But I could be wrong.

I don't like any of the others. Burgum just seems odd and out of place (he looks like Sam the Eagle from the muppets)

.Christie's only move is to dump on Trump. He offers nothing.
    Haley seems weak.

      Speaking of voices...

I've been real impressed with the governor here, but he has two major issues.

      1) Trump HATES him. For not playing along with him after the 2020 election. He'd have a hard time winning without any support from OMB and the latter's supporters could very well stay home if he's the nominee.

      2) His voice. You cannot sound much more like some hillbilly redneck than he does and that is a mighty steep hill to climb in a national election.

Like you I like Pence for the same reasons but he has even less charisma than DeSantis. Currently I'm looking at Halley or Scott as being the likely nominee. I'm also hoping that Youngkin considers it but would prefer if he had some more experience under his belt. Maybe 2024?

I'm always still in trouble again

For the Democrats, I'm going with Harris-Buttigieg. Since the Democrats are stuck in seeing everything through a race or LGBTQ+ lens, that's where they end up.

The Republicans are harder to guess. I think DeSantis is done. My personal favorite at this point is a Haley and Scott ticket. Not sure it matters to me who's the Presidential and who's the Vice-President.

Which gives the interesting result that for the first time in US history, a straight, white male isn't on either ticket.
Personally, I'm not picking anyone because I honestly have no clue what's about to befall us in 2024 (I honestly don't even know if there will be an election), but I'm trying to figure out the logic behind Harris-Buttigieg, as opposed to a Harris-Newsom. Where did Buttigieg come from?

Michelle instead of Harris. I could see a lot of Dems getting behind that

She would have a great deal of support, but there is no indication that she is even slightly interested. FWIU, she hated Washington and the White House and was cited as the reason if Obama had decided not to run for re-election back in 2012.

From watching CNN and MSNBC. He seems to get the most airtime after "Trump is evil" stories and "Biden did this" stories.

Also, I can't see Newsome taking the second spot on the ticket. I can't see Harris staying in the second spot for a potential 8 more years. I think it would be either Harris-TBD or Newsome-TBD.

I don't think gay is as much of a factor to democrats than keeping the minority vote intact. Minorities don't much like gays.

I just can't see them replacing a woman of color who was the direct successor with another white guy, because that would be a death knell to the party of all things race and their minority support. But they're obviously grooming Newsom for something.

D: Michelle Obama running with Newsom.
R: Nikki Haley running with Desantis.

Obama would win. The country will sink even further into globalist socialism.

That's what I'm thinking. Newsome is more likely being groomed for 2028. Of course, one can never discount the possibility of the Democrats going into full hypocrisy mode and throwing Harris under the bus to retain the White House. Given the articles I've read over the past three or so years about minorities feeling like the Democrats pay attention to them at election time and then ignore them until the next election, I can't discount the possibility that all the identity politics the Democrats practice are just show and no real substance or belief.

As I said in a previous post, I can't see Newsome taking the VP slot. I need a reason why he would.

The Republicans won't have Desantis on the ticket. In my opinion, he's done and just doesn't realize it yet.

He wouldn't have a chance against Michelle, and it's still a step up. Baby steps to the White House for him.

I don't believe there is any animosity between Haley and DeSantis. Because she's a woman, and will have the big-money backing of the Military Industrial Complex, she will likely rise to the top. DeSantis can do the same thing as Newsom and take baby steps to the White House.
