It's always amusing when people seem to be shocked that the Bible contains accounts of sex, violence, war, slavery.... As if the purpose of the Bible was only to record the good and the righteousness, and ignore the failures and troubles.

Unsure about the research wrt pork..... but the Jews WERE the canaanites. All evidence points to them being one of the many canaanite tribes in the area, who worshipped the same deities via a type of polytheism, Yahweh being one of them.

Freud described denial as being the inability for an individual to accept a fact that is uncomfortable to them. The fact that you refuse to accept is that you have made a repeated mistake by misconstruing what David translated and assuming that the phrase Lord of Heaven referred to the ruler of some post-mortem abode. It did not. However, you appear unable to accept the reality that you were wrong in your assumption.

Yeah technically you are correct, since "Jews" wasn't used to describe the Hebrew/Israelite people until after the northern kingdom was mostly wiped out/exiled and only the Kingdom or Judah was left, when the Israelites regrouped. After that the name Jew came to represent anyone of Israelites that were from the Kingdom of Judah. But you understood what Gond meant by "Jew" without having to nitpick it didn't you?
