Actually, check out the Lemon Test, and how Trump's SCOTUS struck it down, endangering over 7,800 cases that the "left" had won.

The problem, Jimmy, is that ignorant people like you don't know the difference between a Rebublic and a Democracy. Idiots like you seem to think that our whole government can be completely destroyed by a half day of rioting.
CP, I don't know if you are secretly gay or not, and I really don't care, but please don't call me honey, It gives me the willies.
    Anyway:
It was a planned and organized insurrection CP, and if you don't believe me then go ask the jurors who convicted the leaders thereof to decades in prison for the crime of SEDITIOUS CONSPIRACY to overthrow the election.

And btw, the fact that you are good at grammar doesnt make you smart it only makes you good at grammar. The fact that you love to boast about it and point out everyone elses errors just makes you a jerk.

            Good to know, SweetieCakes.

            Anyway:
It was a planned and organized insurrection CP,
You actually believe that everybody there literally planned to overthrow the government of the United States, and thought they could pull it off?

and if you don't believe me then go ask the jurors who convicted the leaders thereof to decades in prison for the crime of SEDITIOUS CONSPIRACY to overthrow the election.
Perhaps you missed the fact that the media was very anxious to carry the narrative of the left, and daily report on the Kangaroo Kourt proceedings where no exculpatory evidence was allowed, and "evidence" was actually altered or totally fabricated?

And btw, the fact that you are good at grammar doesnt make you smart it only makes you good at grammar.
Jimmy, part of a basic education includes spelling and grammar --- when you're trying to sound like you are informed about things, it helps not to sound like an ignorant clown.

The fact that you love to boast about it
Well, I haven't been boasting about it on my part, just asking you to inform yourself a little, and trying to help you not sound so dumb.

and point out everyone elses errors just makes you a jerk.
But a very well educated and informed jerk!

It's hard to take claims like that seriously when I ask myself whether Trump made a single meritocratic pick. It's clear you don't care in the slightest about meritocracy or you would have been up in arms his entire presidency at all his continually atrocious picks. So it must be just that you hate reasonable representation.

I actually care about meritocracy, and I don't see any coming from your side. If Trump does 99%+ atrocious picks, and Biden does 90% meritocratic picks and 10% representation picks, I know which side I support for being more meritocratic, and it's sure not yours.

The results were predictable. "In 2020, the first full year in which her policies were in force, Boston's violent crime rate surged, drug overdoses in Suffolk County rose, and murders skyrocketed by 38%,"
I don't really have much of an opinion on the current US liberal push on criminal justice, because I base my views on empirical evidence and I haven't seen any good evidence on the subject. This is not good empirical evidence because, over covid, there were widespread significant surges in certain types of crimes. Blaming the change on an individual in one location doesn't seem justified.

Keep in mind that old Joe's supporters often list his filling positions based on quotas as one of his biggest accomplishments.
I wouldn't call myself a Joe Biden supporter (I hope he loses the primary in 2024), but I would say his supporters tend to put it fairly low down their list.

That's a nice sentiment Sparko, and though none of us is perfect, myself as well, I know, but I always thought you were one of the least uncivil posters here with opposing ideological perspectives.

Thanks.I try but often fail at that.

I see myself as more of a centrist (slightly to the right of center) on political matters. At least that is what it shows on those political compass tests.

Nearly all of Trump's picks he thought were the best person he could find who would take the job. And not being a professional politician he didn't have a list of like-minded "experts" to pick from.

Sure if you have to create a straw man to battle...

Some of Trump's atrocious picks sure did better than any of what the MSM called the "adults" and "professionals" that old Joe was supposed to be bringing back. You know, the same experts who repeatedly declared that getting any peace accords in the Middle East was not only impossible but attempting to do so would only cause more harm.

Then we got the Abraham Accord.

And more and more countries either signed on or expressed an interest in doing so.

And for good measure that same atrocious pick gave us the Serbia-Kosovo Agreement.

Remember how the press swooned over Hillary merely overseeing and not actually hammering out the agreement in Ireland? We were incessantly told how that qualified her to be president.

Old Joe has made it a point to select those for some of the most important positions based solely on what boxes they could check off.

Why was Kamala Harris selected as his VP? Biden told us. She's a black female. Those were her necessary qualifications.

Why was Ketanji Brown Jackson selected for SCOTUS? Biden told us. She's a black female. Those were her necessary qualifications.

His Administration literally boasts that's what they've done and tout it as one of their biggest accomplishments.

The crime rates are soaring in the areas that Democrats have had a lock on for decades. In sharp contrast, Florida, the third most populous state and with their share of large urban centers, which haven't been Democrat-controlled fiefdoms for generations, is not experiencing what we see in other similar cities to nearly the same degree.

The one star was pushing said I was a liberal. Most tests put me squarely as a libertarian.

You're completely full of garbage. You're so completely ignorant and know absolutely nothing and just repeat falsehoods in your posts. Educate yourself rather than spew such absolute ignorance.

The murder rate in Florida went up 140% in 2021. Violent crime overall in Florida went up in 2021 and again in 2022. The general crime rate in Florida is higher than New York.

If Dems had been running Florida you would have claimed Dems were awful because of those stats. But because you're so completely ignorant you pretend that Florida must be great because Republicans run it.

An exaggeration, but not by much. I don't think that was literally the criteria in his mind, but I think what he was looking for, and found, amounted to what I would describe as that.

I think subservience, flattery and bootlicking were high up on Trump's list of criteria and I think Pence scored particularly highly on those. I suspect though with Pence though, it was other awful people around Trump (e.g. Bannon, Roger Stone), who made the choice of Pence on strategic grounds to help secure the evangelical voter base.
